Meeting Your Spirit Guides Made Simple
January 28th, 2008There is a fascination with spirit guides. Many people are on a quest to find and talk to their spirit guides but they don’t know how. Instead of trying to learn to do it themselves they pay others to do it for them. It is very easy to learn to contact your spirit guides, though, so maybe you should give it a try.
The actual definition of spirit guides is debatable. Some say they are ancient spirits who once lived on earth. Some say they are relatives who have past. Still others believe they are spirits who have never lived in an earthly form.
Whatever the origin of spirit guides, the one thing that is usually agreed on is that every person has at least one spirit guide, usually more than one, and that spirit guides are here to watch over and help people.
Meeting your spirit guides is a matter of working through the process. It starts with getting into a relaxed, almost hypnotic state. In fact, many people practice self hypnosis to get themselves in the necessary state to meet their spirit guides.
Once in this state of deep relaxation, you can begin to call your spirit guides. You should say a greeting and ask them to come to you and make their presence known. Usually each spirit guide comes in a distinct way. For example, one may touch your right shoulder and another may tap your right knee.
As you meet your spirit guides you should record how each of them introduces themselves. You can ask for their names if you like, but in the beginning it may be easier to just go with the initial greeting they bring as the way to identify them.
You can ask simple yes or no questions to begin with. You should be very respectful of them and also realize that they are here to help you. You should make your sessions short to begin with so as not to tire you or your guides.
When you are finished with your session you should thank them for coming. You can then go over what you recorded about your session.
Meeting your spirit guides is something that you can do yourself without the help of anyone else. It can be a very personal experience. You just have to remember to be respectful of them and not demanding. If you do these simple things then your sessions should be a great learning experience that is spiritually enlightening.
