Learn The Law Of Karma For A Peaceful Life
October 15th, 2007Everyone has heard of karma. It is even the main concept of a current hit television show. Karma is often taken with a grain of salt or seen as some silly idea. Some people even fear karma. The way you feel about karma may have a lasting effect on the rest of your life.
Whether you believe in karma or not, it is hard to deny that there just may be some truth to it. Karma is the idea that for every action there is a reaction. Basically, it is the idea of cause and effect.
However, karma refers more to things where cause and effect are not so easily proven. We all know that if you leave chocolate in the sun it will melt. This isn’t really karma at work. Karma is deeper than that.
A good example of karma is shown in the following story:
Mark was in a hurry. He was rushing into the store as a little, old lady was coming out. The lady dropped her purse, spilling its contents all over the ground. Instead of stopping to help her, Mark pushed past to go inside and complete his shopping because he was in such a hurry. After Mark completed his shopping and was leaving the store’s parking lot, his car was backed into.
Some would say karma got Mark in the end. There’s no real way to prove that if Mark had helped that lady that he would not have gotten into an accident, but he did put that bad karma out there and it seemed to get him.
There are many arguments against the idea of karma. Karma cannot be proven and it cannot be charted out. Some people chalk the idea of karma up to coincidence. People who live their life by the rule of karma know, though, that there is no such thing as coincidence.
Karma is really something that you just have to believe in. People who believe in Karma are generally nice people. They love doing for others and are not selfish. They are also happy people who try to look at the brighter side of things.
Karma may not be able to be proven by any scientific standards. People may like to sweep the idea of karma away and label it as nonsense. However, if you start to live life believing in karma you will probably start to see just how positive it can be.
When it comes to karma you have to ask yourself – why not try living life being good and sending good out into the world? If good comes back to you then that’s great, but if it doesn’t, then what have you really lost after all? You really haven’t lost anything, and you have made the world a better place.
