Ancient Secrets Revealed

I was at an event recently where an “ice breaker exercise” was used to facilitate participants getting to know each other.  I was so enthralled with the question and the answers I heard, that I conducted a survey with friends and colleagues, asking them the same question: “If you could have any superpower, what would it be?”
 
The responses have included:
· The ability to fly
· Being able to see the spark of God in people
· The ability to communicate with people telepathically
· Being invisible
· The ability to breathe under water
· Communicating with deceased loved ones
· The ability to move objects with my mind
· X-ray vision (I’ll let you guess the gender this answer was more popular with - hehe)
· Being able to see into the past or future
· The ability to heal myself or others
· Time travel
 
As I listened to people’s answers I had an epiphany - most, if not all, of these abilities are not the unattainable comic book superpowers that some people perceive them to be.  Most of these are skills that can be developed if we allow our belief systems to expand, open to the concept that we are energy before matter, and that there’s more to life than what we perceive with the five physical senses.  In fact, many of these abilities have been researched and practiced over time, and proven more recently by science and physics.  You’ve also probably noticed that there are an increasing number of TV programs that have these ’superpowers’ as their theme, from Heroes, to The Medium and more - further expanding our awareness.
 
You Can Develop Your Superpowers Too
 
I was so moved and felt so blessed as I listened to the answers to the superpower question the first time I heard it, because I realized that based on years of research, training, and practice - all beginning with fully awakening to my intuition - I’ve personally experienced some form of all of the above mentioned ’superpowers.’  That’s how I know that anyone can learn them if they have interest, intent, and are willing to practice!
 
So let’s take a quick look at a few of these ’superpowers’:
 
The ability to see the spark of God in people - As part of the intuitive work I do, I have the good fortune to see the spark of God, The Divine - whatever you call it - in my clients, and help them see it in themselves and others.
 
The ability to move objects with your mind - Some of you are aware that I teach Spoon Bending classes, where participants learn to bend silverware using the power of their mind, so they can see an immediate tangible manifestation of the power of their intention and attention. 
 
The ability to see into the past or future - Some of my clients are interested in exploring their past lives, and how they may be affecting them today.  This is another intuitive skill I teach my clients who are interested in exploring on their own.
 
I’m sure you’re beginning to get the point that YOU CAN LEARN THESE SKILLS TOO!

Limitless Potential
 
Not long after my expanded awareness about what people consider superpowers, I ran across an interesting book called Worker in the Light, Unlock You Five Senses and Liberate Your Limitless Potential by Coast to Coast AM Host George Noory and William J. Birnes.  (There’s that Law of Attraction again!)  So in case you don’t want to wait for my next newsletter to develop your superpowers, the book is an interesting compilation of stories, instructions and resources for developing some of the abilities mentioned above.
 
In Worker in the Light, two 2005 surveys are sited. One in which “42 percent of all adults in America said they believed they had been visited by a ghost or departed spirit, usually a spouse or sibling.” and the other in which “over two-thirds of all Americans said they had had some psychic or extra-sensory experience”.  They posit that psychic experiences are on the rise, as well as people are more willing to talk about it.
 
In case you were wondering - my answer to the superpower question was the ability to bi-locate -to be in more that one place at the same time.  That’s one I haven’t mastered yet - but I’m workin’ on it.
